April Showers Bring... 2 month shots and more!!!

Lil Miss Adorable had her 8 week/2 month appointment on March 28. She weighed 10 lbs 2 oz and was 22.25" long. She wasn't able to get her shots at this appointment because she wasn't officially 60 days old. Who would have thought that 2 days would make that big of a difference!!! Her shots were postponed until April 3rd. She wasn't too fussy afterward, but we did start her on a Tylenol and warm bath regimen!!!

After I put Rylie to bed on the 4th, I went back in to check on her and found her sucking her thumb! It was funny. She had a pacifier in her mouth (a rare time that she actually sucked on a paci for any amount of time) when I put her in her crib, but when I turned to turn out her lamp, she popped the paci out and popped her thumb in!!!

Rylie has decided that she likes to "swim" in the big bath tub with mommy. After throwing up all over the two of us, I decided to clean us both off in one bath by getting in the deep tub in our bathroom. I think we have a water baby on our hands!

The next weekend we had friends in town from Tulsa visiting on their way to California. Ian wasn't feeling too great, thanks to the medication he was on... Rylie wasn't feeling too great either! On Sunday she slept most of the day, and when she wasn't sleeping she was eating! Monday found me leaving work mid-morning to rescue Ian from a screaming baby who was refusing bottles and was extremely upset! I finally got an appointment with the doctor and she felt confident that Rylie has infant GERD. She gave us a prescription for Zantac and sent us home. Lil Miss weighted 10 lb 15 oz!! The Zantac seemed to help Rylie and her screaming fits during and after feeding!

On the 18th, Rylie realized that she had something that moved at the end of her legs! It was so cute to see her realize that her feet moved while sitting in her daddy's lap!

March Happenings

March was a very busy month!!! We had Nana and Grandpa Rick visiting the beginning of the month, mommy went back to work the middle of the month and Aunt Kelly, Uncle Jack and cousin Henry visited shortly there after!

My first trip to the zoo was on March 6. We had a lot of fun. Mommy had her first experience feeding me in public, right in front of the monkeys! Then we had a Girls Shopping Day with Auntie Mary and cousin Addy at Colorado Mills. Addy and I slept through the shopping trip for the most part!

March 12 found mommy and daddy taking me to the doctor. I had an upper respiratory infection and a rash. I was almost 6 weeks old (a day shy) and I weighed 9 pounds 9 ounces! Mommy had to leave me, much to her dismay since I was sick, on the 14th. But she had a long weekend with me and the family!!!

On Saturday the 15th my Aunt Kelly, Uncle Jack and cousin Henry arrived from Tulsa!!! We went to Ethan's birthday party (which I was a good girl!) to see everyone! While Aunt Kelly and Uncle Jack were here we also went to the Butterfly Pavilion!

I really enjoyed having my aunt, uncle and cousin here for a visit!!! They are a lot of fun! After the left, I had the rest of the week with daddy before mommy had her Spring Break!!! 

I started smiling at mommy and daddy just before Spring Break (right about 8 weeks old). Mommy enjoyed her Spring Break with me! We hiked up Dinosaur Ridge with Aunt Mary and Cousin Addy, went to the zoo with mommy's friend Sara, had dinner with Jonathan and had my 6 week doctor's visit!

At my 6 week doctor's visit I was 10 pounds 2 ounces and 21.25" long!!!! 

February's Firsts...

In February, Rylie had a lot of firsts. Well, technically, EVERYTHING was a first for her in the first month!

Feb 16 -  First trip to cousin Caroline and Ethan's house... first time for Ethan to hold Rylie!

 Feb 17 - First time to go for a ride in the stroller and for a walk with the dogs to the park.

 Feb 17 - First time to nap in her crib

Feb 18 - Dinner with her Colorado god parents, Chris and Mary.
Feb 19 - Her umbilical stump fell off!

Feb 20 - Met KATHY!! She brought Rylie a personalized monkey, shoes and some other necessities. Rylie also took her very first bath in the "big" bath tub.

Feb 26 - First time to nap with mommy in bed...
